WellFit is the wellness
coaching component of Esopus Strength & Fitness.
There are three ways to access WellFit:
One-on-One Coaching: As an individual, you may contract on a six-week by six-week
basis for personalized wellness coaching. You will have an initial intake meeting with your fitness design professional to
assess your current fitness level and to set achievable goals. We gladly will partner with your health care professional
to tailor your program. Depending on your unique needs and goals, we may emphasize cardiovascular exercise, resistance
training, healthy eating habits, sleep habits, and/or stress reduction.
will be assigned "homework" to perform, and you will be expected to report frequently via phone or e-mail to your
coach. Between sessions, your coach will be available via phone or e-mail to discuss your concerns or to answer questions.
Once each week after the initial session, you will meet with your coach to review your progress and to receive additional
homework assignments. And, as part of the Esopus Strength community, you will be kept up-to-date on the
latest advances in fitness science in-person and via our website and Facebook fan page.
From time to time, we also will conduct six-week WellFit group classes. Each class member first will meet privately
with a WellFit fitness design professional to discuss your fitness needs and to set achievable goals. Once a week for six
weeks, the class will meet as a group with the coach for a lecture, demonstration, group activity, and/or meal. Everyone will
have individualized "homework," and we will "meet" daily via the internet to share our successes, challenges
and concerns as well as to help motivate each other. Talk
to us about designing a group class for you and your friends (3 person minimum).
Business or Civic
Groups: For businesses and civic groups, WellFit coaches are available to help employees, members and/or clients
to achieve healthier lifestyles through motivational and educational talks, Walk and Learn programs, and adaptations of the
WellFit group model. We can tailor a program to your needs.
